Job Description

We are looking for a Frontend Developer with years of active experience with single page application frameworks and libraries, to join our web development team and help us shape our product, which helps companies and organizations to have their own multiplayer virtual world environment (nowadays called “metaverse”) with their own interactive contents like learning games, VR simulators, collaborative rooms and much more.

We’re currently working with Vue.js 3 and Bootstrap, and we believe in the power of XR and games applied not only for us gamers, but even for companies that trust our way to see things. For every use case we choose the most suitable technology along with the best solution (be it Virtual Reality, WebGL, a multiplayer vr app with vocal chat or a single player mobile learning game with leaderboard).

As a Frontend Developer in AnotheReality, you will have to discuss, study and develop solutions along with the rest of the web team. Your goal will be to create one or more platforms (web pages) that are easy and ready to use, be the main reference of such projects for development and UX while communicating with stakeholders whenever needed. You will work with the other production departments, including design, UX, Game development, cloud & infrastructure, and you’ll also face business partners to understand their needs and come up with solutions, or to explain why we’re pursuing a particular implementation, the tradeoffs, always in understandable terms..

We’re not looking for the genius lone wolf developer: we’re looking for someone who is technically good but is able to discuss with others, and is able to listen to others and compromise when needed.

Also, all the other departments are your teammates: you will aim with them to achieve common goals, working in symbiosis and encouraging a cohesive working climate.


  • Collaborate with designers, artists, and engineers to develop and refine key systems for our tech, adapting them on multiple projects
  • Define the system architecture of our products and make development plans with the technical team including scope, trade-offs and risks
  • Communicate in an effective way both to the technical team and to non-technical people, to ask questions and explain technical choices when necessary
  • “With great power comes great responsibility”: make decisions. And understand when it’s time to cut, what to cut and what to keep
  • Develop solutions coherent with the agreed design and check for potential inconsistencies
  • Develop applications writing good, optimized, “talkative” and well organized code
  • Create and maintain a clear and efficient technical documentation
  • Own the product vision and ensure that creative, quality and budgetary goals are met
  • Share knowledge with the other members of the team, teach and learn from them
  • Stay up-to-date with state of the art technology and coding practices, promoting their use within the studio

Requested Skills

  • 2+ years of industry experience, with proven track record of completed projects
  • Strong Javascript or Typescript knowledge
  • Strong SPA framework and libraries integration knowledge
  • UX preparation and self-assessment
  • A good understanding of networked solutions and web services
  • Knowledge of at least one of the most important cloud service providers
  • Ability to analyze requests and formulate development plans and time estimations
  • A good communicator, willing to help others and share knowledge also to non-gamer or non-technical people
  • Good problem solver but also a good problem finder
  • Passion for games, XR and cutting edge technology
  • Curious to tackle challenges as they appear
  • Fluent in English, written and spoken

Ideal Bonus Skills

  • Strong knowledge of Vue.js 3 and Bootstrap
  • Knowledge of game and xr development or design
  • Web XR related technologies (A-Frame, Three.js, Babylon.js,…)
  • UI skills
  • UI related applications knowledge (Figma, Photoshop, Adobe XD)
  • DevOps experience
  • Extra skills outside the sphere of game development are always welcome

NOTE: if you do not have prior working experience developing on VR/AR technologies do not worry! Even though having it is definitely a plus, we think that you can learn to work with them with the help of the team.



Employment type is full-time, on-site in Milan, Italy.
Yearly Salary Range: € 30K – 40K

Currently in hybrid working with a prevalence of office work, with occasional remote work agreed with your manager.
Full remote work opportunities are evaluated only for freelancing.
