Project Manager for XR & Gaming solutions

We are looking for a Project Manager to join us in managing and guiding our projects, ranging from VR simulators to multiplayer worlds (metaverses!) where people can collaborate, showcase or learn new skills by playing actual games.

We believe in the power of XR and games applied not only for pure entertainment but also to help businesses solve problems and give value: based on the use case, we choose the best technology (be it Virtual Reality, WebGL, other platforms or a combination of them) and the best solution (single/multiplayer, learning game, simulation…), and design on it.

As a Project Manager in AnotheReality you’ll have to work collaboratively with the team leads to deliver on time and in quality, and also planning and managing people, their workloads and the upcoming works. You’ll face clients and business partners to understand their needs or to explain what we’re doing and why, supporting the sales team during analysis and offer phases and then supporting the technical team during the production, preventing problems and keeping the communication as clear as possible.

We need a person who cares about the people is working with, someone comfortable dealing with organizational and human issues, able to remain professional in an ever-friendly manner even under pressure. The Producer Project Manager should also care about what’s being delivered in terms of usefulness and quality, and be able to act as the point of reference inside the team thanks to the gained trust.

  • Take ownership of all company’s projects, developing schedules and resource requirements to ensure all of the projects ship on time, within budget, and at a high level of excellence
  • Make development roadmaps, keeping track of scheduled activities, workload and budget consumption, anticipating and mitigating risks
  • Manage, facilitate and coach team members, converting development plans into concrete actions for all functions
  • Manage, facilitate and coach team members while building strong relationships with them, ensuring a cohesive team and foster effective communication between team members
  • Help the sales team to interact with clients on technical aspects, both during the presale process and during the delivery process, managing customer expectations with proper communication
  • “With great power comes great responsibility”: take decisions, and make decisions happen. And understand when it’s time to cut, what to cut and what to keep
  • Drives continuous improvement of our craft standards, production tools, design and development practices to remain state-of-the-art
  • 5+ years of industry experience, with proven track record of shipped projects, team management and client management
  • Team worker, able to explain concepts efficiently to non-gamer people or non-technical people (internal people and clients)
  • Experience in Agile methodologies and able to implement them
  • Has enough technical background to communicate and understand with all the production departments
  • Strong analytical, problem solving and risk “anticipating” skills
  • Experience in documentation and communication workflows
  • Able to motivate others to get results: you can figure out what’s needed to be done and draw “the map” for everyone
  • Passion for games, XR and cutting edge technology
  • Emotional intelligence
  • Fluent in English, written and spoken
  • Good knowledge of VR and AR design principles
  • Able to use repositories such as Git or Perforce
  • Able to create good and clear presentations
  • Able to use proficiently excel files and formulas
  • Knows how to configure project management tools (ClickUp / Jira / Asana or similar) and bend them for the team’s needs
  • Extra skills outside the sphere of game development are always welcome

if you do not have prior working experience developing on VR/AR technologies do not worry! Even though having it is definitely a plus, we think that you can learn to work with them with the help of the team.

 


 

Employment type is full-time, on-site in Milan, Italy.
Yearly Salary Range: € 35K – 55K

Currently in hybrid working with a prevalence of office work, with occasional remote work agreed with your manager.
Full remote work opportunities are evaluated only for freelancing.
